Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Oriflame, the cosmetics company, will close its factory near Warsaw and lay off 200 people.
The Warsaw factory will be closed as the company plans to move production to other European partners to help modernise its processes. The factory is to be gradually closed over the next two years and all employees will be made redundant. The company promises that all employees will receive support.
Oriflame Holding AG is an international cosmetics holding company engaged in the production, distribution and sale of cosmetics, based in Sweden. The factory in Warsaw had been in operation since 1991.
