Description
Česká televize (ČT), a public institution operating nationwide television broadcasting in the Czech Republic, has announced at least 110 job cuts during 2025.
This year, Czech Television will operate with a "crisis" budget that was approved by the Czech Television Board. The budget includes a reduction in the number of employees, a 40% drop in new productions and a reduction in investments in 2025. Czech Television prepared the budget in an austerity regime in response to uncertainty about whether the Chamber of Deputies will pass an amendment to the law that is to increase the television fee.
