Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Centric, a Netherlands-based IT services company, announced plans to cut more than 10% of its workforce, translating to at least 350 job losses, primarily affecting its IT and administrative departments in Gouda. The restructuring aims to address financial challenges following the departure of founder Gerard Sanderink, who left amid controversies. The company is undergoing a reorganization to enhance operational efficiency and stabilize its business operations. Negotiations with trade unions and employee representatives are ongoing to mitigate the impact on the affected workers.
