Description
Cafés Legal, a French roasted coffee manufacturer, has been declared bankrupt, leaving its 116 workers unemployed.
The company, previously acquired by the investment fund FNB, struggled to recover due to challenging economic conditions, shifting market trends, financial difficulties, and internal issues. After being placed in legal receivership and sold by Michel Ohayon in 2022, the Normandie region provided a €1 million guarantee to support the company. However, the failed takeover has left many employees frustrated and disheartened. A job-saving plan will be implemented for those willing.
