Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Irish provider of electrical, mechanical, and high-voltage engineering services Suir Engineering has announced plans to create 200 new jobs worldwide.
The new jobs will be based in Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and the UK.
The company has also launched a new training centre for apprentices, aligned with Ireland's SOLAS training program. The programme aims to set a new industry standard for apprentice training and safety education. Suir Engineering reported a turnover of €429 million in 2023, reflecting a 41% increase from the previous year, and continues to expand as part of its European growth strategy.
