Tessenderlo Group, a Belgian multinational group specialised in the production of food products has announced its plan to restructure its facility in Vilvoorde, in total 106 employees are at risk of losing their job.
In a press release, the company management states that Tessenderlo currently faces significant challenges in the bone gelatine market. These include declining demand in the Western world, a market shift towards alternative products, and customers migrating to low-wage countries.
In addition to the facility in Vilvoorde, the UK-based facility in Treforst, employing 93 workers, faces closure.
