Description

Indexia, formerly known as Sfam, is shutting down its Roanne site, leaving 160 employees without jobs. Indexia has been in a scandal, facing allegations of unwarranted withdrawals and deceitful commercial practices. The workforce at the Roanne site was reduced drastically, from 425 employees in January 2023 to 162 by May 2024. Employees have largely attributed these cuts to managerial errors.

The company will be liquidated on May 22, with operations officially ceasing on June 4. While this closure enables workers to access months of unpaid wages, unemployment benefits, and training rights; many still are facing impacts due to reputational damage and on their mental health.

Several large restructurings have been recorded on the ERM database, with the latest hiring 150 employees in Spain Indexia 2021 - ES.
