Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
As announced on 28 November 2024, the logistics and freight transport company Kühne+Nagel, based in Switzerland, is opening a new transshipment warehouse in Bremen, Germany.
The new warehouse spans 8,000 square meters and is expected to create around 100 new jobs. The new site is intended to connect the hinterland with the seaports of Wilhelmshaven, Brake, and Bremen/ Bremerhaven. Additionally, the location is integrated into the company’s Europe-wide land transport network.
Kühne+Nagel employs 80,000 people globally across nearly 1,300 locations.
