Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French hypermarket chain E.Leclerc has announced that it will create 5,000 jobs in 2024 across France.
The chain hosted the 2024 edition of ‘La Grande Rencontre’, a large-scale job dating event, attracting 53,000 participants across 450 hypermarkets nationwide. The initiative offered 5,000 positions in roles ranging from cashiers and butchers to warehouse operatives and administrative staff.
Each year, E.Leclerc trains over 70,000 employees, including 5,300 apprentices.
E.Leclerc is a leading French retail chain employing about 250,000 people in Europe. The chain has 754 stores across France.
