Description

The Spanish railway company Renfe intends to expand its workforce with an additional 1,350 employees by the close of 2024. This will include 600 drivers, 330 commercial operators, 300 workshop staff, 71 military professionals, and 40 maintenance managers.

The corporation is also training the 18th batch of train drivers, set to complete in July 2025, and initiating a new program for candidates who did not pass the third and fourth rounds of the State Agency for Railway Safety tests. These training and employment programmes are very important for RENFE to successfully respond to the company needs.

This new call of employment adds to the already public call for 650 new employees Renfe-2024-ES and 600 new entry drivers RENFE-2024-ES, already presented in this ERM in 2024. RENFE did also announce several employment creation processes in 2023 (for instance RENFE-2023-ES), 2022 (for instance RENFE-2022-ES) and 2021 RENFE-2021-ES.
