Emo Orodjarna, a producer of sheet metal forming tools, has filed for bankruptcy, resulting in the loss of jobs for 120 workers.
According to the news agency STA, the company has been facing difficulties in paying wages for several months. As a result, it has been under inspection by the Labour Inspectorate. In 2023, the company recorded a net turnover of just over €9 million but incurred a loss of €2.5 million. Management attributes the poor performance to delays in some projects, the recession in Germany, and other contributing factors.
The President of the Confederation of Slovenian Trade Unions stated that the management was unwilling to engage in discussions with the trade union.
