Description
SNCF Voyageurs, a subsidiary of France's state-owned railway company SNCF, has announced plans to hire 200 additional workers in 2024. This brings the total number of new hires this year from 650 to 850. This decision follows mounting pressure from controllers, who threatened to go on strike to demand better working conditions.
The ongoing discussions between trade unions and SNCF include measures such as reducing pay differentials and addressing retirement-related concerns.
Several prior large restructuring have been recorded on the ERM database, with 900 new hires in the Paris region in 2024 SNCF Voyageurs 2024 - FR.
