Description
Vestas, a sustainable company active in the energy sector and in particular in the manufacturing of wind turbines, announced a new cutting-edge production line for the flagship V236-15.0MW wind turbine blades. The company plans to expand and reach 2,000 employees in the upcoming months.
The pioneering production line will be started up at the Taranto plant in the region of Apulia, Italy, bringing in approximately 1,300 new employees (in an unclear time frame). Employment growth at the plant is part of the company's industrial plan, given the positive results at the site and the availability of skilled labour in the area.
In 2024, the company has increased its workforce in the plant from about 700 to over 1,600 employees.
