Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Groupe Réalités, a regional development company based in Nantes, has announced plans to lay off over 100 employees as part of its strategy to reduce debt. The company reported a deficit of €86.5 million as of June 2024, prompting this cost-cutting measure to ensure its financial survival.
This follows a previous downsizing in 2023, when 150 employees were laid off.
The European Restructuring Monitor (ERM) database also recorded a significant restructuring in 2022, when Groupe Réalités hired 100 workers Groupe Réalités 2022 - FR.
