Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Disneyland Paris, part of the Walt Disney Company, has launched its annual recruitment campaign, aiming to hire 1,500 permanent workers. In total, the campaign will create opportunities for 8,500 hires, focusing on roles in maintenance (such as engineers and technical experts) and food service, both of which are experiencing labor shortages. The company is also encouraging young professionals to apply and start their careers.
In 2022, Disneyland Paris hired 2,000 temporary workers for the summer season. As of 2023, Disneyland Paris has a total workforce of around 16 000.
