Description

Dunkin’ Donuts is a firm that makes and sells donuts. Originally, it is an American company, but it has stores worldwide, including in the Netherlands. Last month, it was announced that the Dutch branch of Dunkin’ Donuts has been declared insolvent, but they managed to find a solution. However, 150 to 200 jobs will still be lost. The unit that is the most affected by these job cuts is unknown.

The main reason for this job cuts is the competition on the market. Dunkin’ Donuts is a competitor of AH to Go, Starbucks and Cinnabon. Moreover, Dunkin’ Donuts Netherlands was sold to Van der Valk last year. It was the intention for Dunkin’ Donuts to expand in the Netherlands, but instead, 20 stores out of the 70 closed last year. It is unknown which jobs are cut, and from which unit.
