Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Getra, an energy plant construction company, has announced the opening of a new plant in the industrial area of Pignataro Maggiore. The Industrial Plan envisages the hiring of around 150 new employees for highly specialised operators and the expansion of the Marcianise plant in which assembly activities will be concentrated. The new plant will be producing mechanical components for medium and large power transformers. The company mentioned that is reshoring the activity to shorten the supply chain and to reduce the product carbon footprint.
It is bringing forward its investment plan to 2025, envisaging an investment of €50 million. Moreover, the company plans to submit legislation to Parliament allowing new nuclear power plants in Italy.
