Description

The retail chain Tommy officially opened its logistics and distribution centre in Dugopolje, near Split, employing 250 new workers.

The technologically advanced warehouse, spanning 38,000 square meters and valued at EUR 45 million, was built over 18 months on the site covering 80,000 square meters. The company's goal is to make a business breakthrough through optimising and rationalising logistics processes.

The new centre will consolidate several warehouse locations where business operations currently take place. In the future, everything will be at one technologically advanced facility with a capacity of 35,000 pallet spaces. The company will thus supply its stores faster, better, and more efficiently, and will also help in the employment of the local population.

The facility is designed and built according to the highest ecological standards. In line with sustainable development criteria, solar panels will be installed on the building.
