Rurexpol, a company in the steel industry, will close its plant in Częstochowa and lay off 260 people.
The worsening situation in the steel industry in Europe and the inability to compete in the sales markets were cited as the reason for the closure of the plant. Those employed are guaranteed employment until the end of February 2025, when the plant's employees will be made redundant.
Rurexpol is a branch of Alchemia Spółka Akcyjna in Czestochowa, a subsidiary of Boryszew SA. based in Warsaw.
