Description
Chantiers de l'Atlantique, primarily owned by the French government, is expanding its shipyard in Saint-Nazaire and will hire 500 new workers this year. An additional 300 employees are expected to be hired annually over the next decade. This new investment, estimated at 40 to 50 million euros, aims to meet growing demand in aircraft carrier manufacturing and includes the construction of new buildings. The new aircraft carriers is expected to be functional by 2038.This initiative follows Chantiers de l'Atlantique's recent 100-million-euro investment in renewable marine energy.
The company currently employs approximately 3,500 people.
