Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Alm. Brand is continuing its employee reductions as part of the ongoing integration with Codan. Recently, 85 employees were laid off, with an additional 25 positions not being refilled.
This restructuring aims to lower costs in alignment with the company's financial goals and to enhance operational efficiency. The merger, which occurred in May 2022, was expected to result in a workforce reduction of approximately 300 employees. Prior layoffs in November last year already cut 105 positions, reflecting the ongoing adjustments post-merger. The changes are intended to maintain competitive pricing for customers.
