Description
Tican plans to hire 350 new employees over the coming year due to a significant increase in slaughter volumes, according to CEO Steen Sønnichsen. This expansion contrasts with Danish Crown, which recently announced 500 layoffs due to fewer slaughter pigs and increased piglet exports.
Danish Crown has closed several slaughterhouses, most recently in Ringsted. Meanwhile, Tican has attracted new suppliers, including a major supplier, and is expanding operations at its facilities in Thisted and Brørup. It is expected that a lot of former Danish Crown employees will be employed by Titan in the future.
