Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Indoor Group has initiated cooperation negotiations with the plan to cut 200 positions in its furniture retail functions. Around 635 employees are within the scope of the collective consultation process. The number and allocation of possible temporary lay-offs and redundancies will be specified during the negotiations.
Indoor Group aims for a profit improvement of at least EUR 10millon by the end of 2026. Through the redundancies, the company aims to keep as many stores open as possible and open new stores.
Indoor Group is part of Finnish conglomerate KH Group. In Finland, Indoor Group employs over 700 persons.
Update 2024-12-10
The cooperation negotiations at Indoor Group have been concluded. The outcome of the change negotiations is that 162 jobs will be terminated by Indoor Group.
