Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Commercial semi-state company, ESB Networks, is to create 120 new jobs in 2024. The company, which is the owner of the transmission and distribution electricity networks in Ireland, is to recruit 120 electricians throughout Ireland.
The closing date for applications was 9th September 2024 and the roles are open to any qualified electrician. ESB Networks currently employs 3,347 employees in Ireland. According to ESB, the new electricians will help it deliver for the future by enhancing the capacity and resilience of the electricity network.
