Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Croatian Post is looking for new postmen, post office operators, drivers, and warehouse workers, totaling 140 employees.
Croatian Post has recently opened the National Storage and Sorting Centre in the city of Velika Gorica, where it intends to employ another 100 workers. These are transport workers who would be engaged in loading, unloading, and handling shipments. The remaining 40 new employees will work in various locations around Croatia. For most positions, elementary school is sufficient, and no previous work experience is required. The monthly salary for most jobs is EUR 985 gross, or about EUR 750 net. Although Croatian Post has not been a monopoly for a long time, it still holds between 35 and 40 percent of the postal services market in Croatia. Two thousand postmen and delivery men of Croatian Post make more than one million deliveries a day, including more than 80 thousand packages. Croatian Post's strategy contains incessant care for workers, along with concrete measures that ensure long-term stability and motivation. Croatian Post offers various employee benefits for the above positions: regular medical examinations, the possibility of education and training, and additional financial remuneration.
