Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Axa Group, a French provider of insurance and financial services, plans to recruit 7,000 new employees in France, with half of these positions being offered as permanent contracts. The group is focusing on strengthening its networks of general representatives, commercial employees, and independent profiles in the pension and wealth sectors as part of its broader strategy to expand its business operations.
In 2023, Axa's workforce in France totaled 23,465 employees.
Previous internal restructurings have been recorded in the ERM database, including 100 job cuts in 2022 Axa 2022 - FR, and 160 job cuts in 2018 Axa 2018 - FR. In 2006, Axa also transferred 1,500 jobs to Morocco Axa 2006 - FR. Conversely, business expansions were also documented, such as the hiring of 2,000 new employees in 2022 Axa 2022 - FR, and 100 new hires in 2007 Axa 2018 - FR.
