Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The French Group Transdev, a leading private public transport operator, which will create 100 new positions, 80 of which will be for bus drivers. This expansion is the result of Transdev’s successful acquisition of a new public transportation contract for the Corban territory, scheduled for deployment in September. Through this initiative, Transdev aims to not only bolster its workforce but also enhance the quality and efficiency of its services across the region.
As of 2024, Transdev operates in 19 countries and employs approximately 102,000 people worldwide, further solidifying its position as a global leader in the transport industry. A previous business expansion was recorded in the ERM database in 2021, with 100 jobs created Transdev 2021 - FR, and previously cut 180 jobs in 2011 Transdev 2011 - FR.
