Yara, a Norse multinational has announced it will restructure its facility in Tertre (Hanait). In total, approximately 115 employees are at risk of losing their job.
The company intends to cease the production of ammoniac in the facility, due to challenging market conditions (energy prices, maintenance costs and increased environmental regulations). Instead it wants to focus more on industrial chemicals in the facility, which have higher profit margins.
As prescribed in the Renault-Law, the obligatory information and consultation rounds have now started.
