Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
American technology company NetApp is to create 60 new jobs at its international headquarters in Cork.
The new roles are being actively recruited for and include areas such as software engineering, cloud architecture, technical support, sales, business development, and accounting.
A spokesperson for the company said it was “creating these roles in Cork to help our customers adapt to [technological] change and solve the challenges posed by increased AI adoption and rapid data growth”.
NetApp is a global cloud-based data management company. The company opened its headquarters there in 2022 where it runs global commercial, support, and technology operations and currently employs 300 people there.
