Hutchinson, an French automotive parts producer, will expand its production facility in Portalegre, region of Alentejo. This investment will create between 100 and 150 new jobs that will joined to the existing workforce of 740 (of which 300 are temporary - hired through specialised companies).
Established 25 years ago in the industrial area of Alentejo, the plant produces rubber and plastic hoses for car radiators, among other parts.
In Portalegre, Hutchinson manufactures directly for the final consumer, exporting over 90% of its produced material, primarily to Spain and France.
