Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Capgemini, a French engineering company with premises in Spain has announced a plan to hire approximately 1,500 engineers in Spain over the next 12 months in its Engineering Division.
The firm currently employs around 11,000 professionals in the country, with about 4,000 in its Engineering Division. According to the company’s Managing Director of Capgemini Engineering in Spain, 70% of the new hires will be recent graduates, while 30% will be experienced professionals. It is emphasised that the company is committed to promoting women's participation in engineering fields.
The recruitment drive aims to strengthen Capgemini's centres, particularly in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, and Cádiz, supporting various sectors including automotive, energy, public services, and telecommunications.
