As announced on 01 October 2024, the insolvency proceedings for BBS Autotechnik, based in Schiltach, Baden-Württemberg, were opened, resulting in up to 240 job cuts.
The company manufactures wheels in the luxury segment. It had filed for bankruptcy in July 2024. Insolvency administrator Dirk Pehl is now winding down the business. Most of the 240 employees in Schiltach are expected to be laid off in the coming days.
The company had already filed for bankruptcy in 2023 and was subsequently purchased by the Turkish IS Holding.
