Stellantis, an automotive manufacturer, has announced plans to introduce a two-shift operation at its Gliwice factory, resulting in dismissal of 500 employees.
This decision was taken due to the slowdown in sales and the introduction of EU climate regulations. The change to a two-shift working system will include production lines at the van factory, and will be implemented from 30 September.
Stellantis N.V. is a multinational automotive manufacturing corporation formed in 2021 on the basis of a 50–50 cross-border merger between the Italian-American conglomerate Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the French PSA Group.
