Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Croatian company Jamnica, the biggest regional producer of natural mineral water and beverages, is looking for 140 workers for its plant in Jastrebarsko, in Zagreb County.
Seventy workers are needed for the warehouse, while another seventy are required for the production line. The needed workers should have only primary education, and experience is not necessary. The storekeepers take care of rearranging and sorting packaging and goods, preparing goods for loading and dispatch from the warehouse, and performing manipulation of goods with the help of a manual forklift. The workers in the plant are responsible for manual and machine sorting and caging of packaging, disposing of non-compliant products, as well as for monitoring the operation of the machines. Jamnica offers workers in the warehouse and plant a minimum wage of EUR 840 gross (or EUR 680 net) and shared accommodation.
