Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
ČEZ, the largest Czech energy company, has announced plans to gradually recruit some 4,000 highly skilled professionals over the next ten years due to investments in nuclear energy.
It is related to the construction of new units at the Dukovany nuclear power plant, the development of small modular reactors and the modernisation of existing power plants. ČEZ will also be recruiting specialists in distribution, energy-saving technologies and digitalisation of operations. 261 positions are currently open on ČEZ's website.
The company currently employs about 25,000 people. ČEZ has a focus on students and it cooperates with a hundred secondary vocational schools and a number of university faculties and universities. It organizes excursions, lectures, internships and scholarship programs. About 450 applicants complete its programs annually.
