Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Lusiaves Group is investing over €20 million in a new food plant in Nazaré (Valado dos Frades). The poultry production group expects the expansion of the facilities to create over 100 direct jobs. The project includes the acquisition of facilities with over 12,000 sq m, which will be expanded and equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
In a statement, the company stressed that this reinforces the Group's ‘commitment to the economic and social development of the centre region and job creation, in line with the principles of sustainability and good management’.
