Description
As announced on 13 September 2024, the automotive supplier Marquardt has opened a second plant in Ichtershausen, Thuringia, creating 200 new jobs.
The company manufactures mechatronic switch and control systems. At the new location, battery management systems for electric vehicles will be produced. 200 new jobs will be created by 2025. A nine-figure sum was invested, the exact amount is not known.
The company employs around 10,000 people worldwide across 22 locations. Marquardt's headquarter is in Rietheim-Weilheim, Baden-Württemberg. In 2023, its turnover amounted to approximately 1.4 billion euros.
