European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Nature Energy, a Danish company producing renewable natural gas, acquired by Shell in 2023, is undergoing restructuring by reducing its workforce by 10%, which will affect 50 of its 500 employees.
This decision is part of the company’s efforts to streamline operations and improve efficiency. The layoffs are aimed at ensuring the company’s long-term sustainability and competitiveness in the market.
Nature Energy states that, despite the reduction in staff, it will remain committed to its core mission and values, continuing to focus on providing sustainable energy solutions and that the affected employees will receive support during this transition.
