Description

Jan Hallas, the owner of My Home furniture chain, has decided to close all 23 stores in Denmark, including three in Northern Jutland, due to financial difficulties.

The company is not facing bankruptcy: all employees, customers, and suppliers will be compensated.

Hallas reacquired the chain in 2023 for one krone after selling it to BHG Group in 2017. The business has reported losses of around 50 million kroner over the past two years, though it still has equity of 55 million kroner. Approximately 140 employees will lose their jobs.
