Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Budimex, a construction company, plans to hire up to 100 workers previously laid off by PKP Cargo.
The two companies have signed a letter of intent, enabling Budimex to recruit laid-off PKP Cargo employees. Budimex will recruit for roles such as diesel traction vehicle driver, rolling stock mechanic, equipment operator, electromechanical specialist, and electrician. Budimex was founded in 1968; it operates in the infrastructure sectors: roads, railways, airports, volume, energy, industrial and environmental construction.
The Budimex Group employs over 7,000 people.
