Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
La Boulangère, manufacturer of pre-packed bread and Viennese pastries, has announced the recruitment of 40 employees for its Beaune plant, which currently employs 296 people. The recruitment is to accompany the launch of a new production line at its Beaune site (Côte-d'Or) in November 2024. The aim of this project is to boost production capacity to meet growing customer demand and optimise the site's organisation. Employees will be recruited on permanent contracts. Profiles sought include line operators, line drivers and maintenance technicians. Some positions are open to people with disabilities.
By the end of 2023, the La Boulangère Group will have 2,300 employees working at its head office (Essarts en Bocage) and 7 manufacturing sites in France.
