Description
Multinational Schneider Electric is to create 40 new jobs in Ireland over the next two years, increasing its workforce in Ireland by 10% by mid-2026.
When announcing the new jobs, a company spokesperson voiced concerns about the shortage of skilled technicians in Ireland and that the number of apprenticeship places need to be increased.
The company makes electrical equipment and software to allow businesses to reduce their electricity consumption. It currently employs 400 people in Ireland, including engineers, technicians and electricians and recently opened a new Irish headquarters in Citywest, Dublin.
