Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Medical devices multinational, Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, is to create 80 new jobs over the next three years at its facility in county Clare.
Fifty of the roles are currently being recruited for, with a further thirty roles to be recruited between 2025 and 2027. The roles cover several areas including production operations, quality, regulatory and research and development.
The company currently employs 550 people at its plant in county Clare, making it one of the largest employers in the Midwest region. The company employs 11,000 people globally.
