Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Hungarian subsidiary of American-Singapore technological manufacturer Flex is building a new production hall and implementing a technological upgrade at its Zalaegerszeg site. The expansion will create 210 new jobs, 20 of which are for research & development professionals. The new plant will start producing around mid-2025.
The new facility will produce electrical components and converters for electric and hybrid vehicles for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. The investment cost is €90 million, 20% of which will be covered by a non-refundable grant from the Hungarian state.
Flex has 7 locations in Hungary. The Zalaegerszeg site is the largest European unit which produces inputs for the auto industry. Flex is already the largest employer in Zalaegerszeg.
