In September 2024, Amazon is opening a new distribution centre in Premstätten, Austria, creating 130 new jobs.
Initially, 50 employees will work in a four-shift system, expanding to 130 within a year. The centre will distribute packages across Styria, with daily delivery vans starting at 10:30 am. The facility will manage daily deliveries with 200 vans.
The exterior of the building was completed earlier in 2024, and operations are set to begin mid-September, with interior work still in progress. Amazon is expecting a five-figure daily package count.
