Description

PGE Energetyka Kolejowa, which supplies electricity to Poland's railway network, intends to hire up to 100 former PKP Cargo employees.

This collaboration allows laid-off workers of PKP Cargo to transition into roles such as drivers, dispatchers, electromechanics, mechanics, and electromechanical engineers. PKP Cargo has signed a letter of intent with PGE Energetyka Kolejowa, on hiring up to 100 employees, with recruitment starting immediately.

PGE Energetyka Kolejowa, currently employing 4,000 people, focuses on maintaining overhead contact lines and ensuring the railway's electricity supply. The recent layoffs by PKP Cargo have been recorded in the ERM events database PKP Cargo-2024-PL.
