Description

Generic pharmaceutical manufacturing company Viatris is to close its plant at Little Island in Cork resulting in the loss of 200 jobs over the next four years.

The company will begin winding down the manufacturing site and it will be closed by the end of 2028. It is anticipated that the majority of staff will be made redundant from the middle of 2028 with all jobs gone by December 2028.

Currently, Viatris employs around 1,600 people at multiple sites across Ireland.
