Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The French-owned glass firm Saint Gobain announced it will create about 100 new jobs at its plant in Turda (Cluj County), by the end of 2024.
The company finalized the completion of the second production line of plasterboard tiles at Turda plant (Cluj County). The production tests started at the end of last year and include a grinding-grinding plant, a plate forming, drying and stacking line occupying an area of approximately 14,000 square meters.
Saint Gobain invested €50 million in construction of the second production line and energy efficiency was a priority, the new line having low specific energy consumption, both for calcination and for drying the tiles.
In Romania, Saint-Gobain operates in 14 industrial sites in Romania and has a workforce of 2,000 persons.
