IKEA Industry is a manufacturing branch of the furniture retailer IKEA. The company announced it will hire another 130 workers to its company in Malacky. The nature of job has not been specified, although they said it was all in manufacture. The preliminary testing period of manufacturing has been running since January 2024, now they plan to increase assembly capacity by 50%. IKEA Industry has a total of six plants in Slovakia – three in Malacky, two in Trnava and one in Jasná. Founded in 1999, IKEA Industry Malacky consists of a board factory and two furniture factories. Currently, about 560 people work there.
