The UVESCO Group, a Spanish retailer, has implemented an Employment Redundancy file (ERE) for 115 employees of Hiber supermarkets in the Madrid region.
The redundancies will mainly affect management positions, while the remaining 700 employees (mainly shop staff) will keep their jobs. Recently, Hiber supermarkets, located in the Madrid region, have been acquired by UVESCO Group and brought under the BM Supermarkets brand as part of the ambitious UVESCO Group's expansion plan in the Madrid region. UVESCO group has been owned by the PAI Partners investment fund since 2021 with 70% of the company’s capital.
